Since 2008 Laura has been freshly baking gorgeous cakes & bakes from her 5* food hygiene rating commercial kitchen in Clapham Junction SW11.
Every cake is lovingly handmade by Laura herself.
She offers a standard range of classics as well as bespoke, made to customer request cakes which are priced individually depending on how much work is involved in the making, detail and skill of decoration of each cake. Cake toppers & sugar flowers which although are a labour of love, taking hours to create by hand, she loves making for very special occasions.
Laura prides herself on offering a very personal,
bespoke service to her customers and this in turn keeps her very busy. Juggling the baking, emails, orders, collections/deliveries, social media and of course the daily running of the business all by herself. So if she doesn't get straight back to you, please give her a couple days as she will probably be baking until all hours and replies to her emails in batches like her baking... alternatively feel free to chase her on 07973282566. Collection is always preferred if possible.
However deliveries are also possible via courier service.
Orders are available to collect Monday afternoon to Saturday morning weekly, please give as much notice as possible to avoid any disappointment.

Laura Amos - Chef & Owner
The Dessert Deli was created by Laura Amos back in 2008, from a crazy idea she had in the midst of a recession. Not one to be put off by gruelling hard work, she had the determination to succeed and worked solidly, single handedly creating a well established brand known for quality, tasting 'Absolutely Amazing' and fantastic customer service, always going out of her way for her customers which has in turn lead to her success and loyal custom over all these years.
The Dessert Deli’s ethos of using the very best ingredients, plenty of them and lovingly hand making everything has led to her products being stocked in premium food halls over the years, including Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Whole Foods Market and Fortnum & Mason.
Having once-in-a-lifetime opportunities including making tens of thousands of cupcakes for the London Olympics in 2012, publishing The Dessert Deli cookbook, being asked to appear on ITV This Morning with Holly & Phil, making a cake for HRH The Prince of Wales, as Patron of the BFI. As well as working with an array of fantastic corporate clients & local businesses.
Laura has been in the catering industry for 25 years and has a wealth of experience.
Starting her career at the age of 16 at Bournemouth & Poole catering college, she gained an apprenticeship with Michelin starred chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli. This lead to her first full-time job offer, running the pastry sections of Jean-Christophe Novelli’s prestigious, fine-dining restaurants. Having worked through the ranks of several prestigious London establishments, from Sous Pastry Chef at The Ivy to Head Pastry Chef at Le Caprice, and Head Chef at the award-winning artisan bakery, Popina. Running a large production team as well as being head of product development, creating products for Highgrove House, Daylesford Organic, and Sharpham Park to name a few.
